GIGACHAD is an animated emote showing Russian model Ernest
Khalimov in various poses. The emote is usually used to describe someone who is an alpha male and extremely masculine and attractive. Can also be used ironically to make fun of someone.
GIGACHAD Origin
Even though the GIGACHAD emote looks like a computer-generated image, it’s actually Russian model Ernest Khalimov. The photos were taken by photographer Krista Sudmalis for a project she was working on, which were posted on Instagram.
The GigaChad meme first started in 2017 on 4chan, where the Instagram link was shared. The 4chan post described the image as “Gigachad. The perfect human specimen destined to lead us against the reptilians.”
The emote was added to BTTV on May 6, 2021 by user hannyarosie, and has become a top emote on Twitch.
